On Saturday 4 March at Freyberg Beach Wellington, Wellington's Big Dig returned after more than 3 years of hiatus!
The Wellington Big Dig returned to Freyberg Beach once again, thanks to the Rotary Club of Mt Victoria, including two St. Johns Rotarians, Ainie Kwok and Avi Fiqueiredo, picking up from where it was last organised by the Rotary Club of Courtenay Place; which unfortunately due to declining membership are no longer around.
Despite the early morning rain that persisted until after midday, Rotarians and friends were at Freyberg Beach setting up the huge marquee and hiding over 500 tokens in the sand. A big thank you to Moore Wilsons for their generosity as the main sponsor and providing storage space for all the toys for the day.
