Earlier this year the Rotary Club of St. Johns donated and installed an AED at St PIus X School in Glen Innes. This unit is, of course, available to the community at large and the good news is, since its installation it has never been used. However, last week, the school moved in to stunning new premises located next door to the old school. This required the AED and the security box to be relocated prior to demolition of the old school.
In Miles' absence, Gary K with Grandson Freddy, and Peter W stepped up to relocate and mount the unit on the new school. Hopefully Miles will be satisfied with the job!! Pictured below is the AED in the original position and now in the new location. School Principle Paul Coakley, pictured with Gary and Freddy, remains very appreciative of St. Johns Rotary's support and he is looking forward to having conversations with Miles on his return in regards to school garden options.
