Pip Block is the Owner and Director of A1 Student.  Pip earned her Bachelor of Arts and Post Graduate Certificate in Education degrees in the UK and began teaching in 1994. Prior to joining the Saint Kentigern community in 2011 she worked for the Life Education Trust in Auckland for 5 years.

In 2014 Peter Cassie, Principal of Saint Kentigern Boys’ School, introduced the Arrowsmith Programme and Pip was chosen to train in Toronto, Canada, as a full-time Arrowsmith teacher. Her passion to help people learn drew her to this programme and she has helped many students achieve some exceptional life-changing results.

After 25 years in teaching, she has established A1 Student in order to expand her current teaching capacity to reach more students.  She now operates two classrooms dedicated to teaching this programme.   She deals with "individual students", not classes and the NZL Ministry of Education have just recently  approved A1 as an official school recognizing the work she does.

To help explain and demonstrate how Pip works and to give us a living example of her achievements, Pip was joined on stage by two current students, Riley and Josh, both of whom were delightful young men and certainly very good examples of the positive results that have been achieved.
