Meeting Responsibilities (aka Duties). The following Open Letter to all members of the Rotary Club of St Johns;Please note, due to a quite limited number of members available to attend physical meetings, 'able' members may find they are rostered very frequently to take up Meeting Responsibilities (e.g. Set-Up, Attendance, Greeter, Speaker Host, Thanks & Close, Set-Down).
Club Services wishes to remind all members that Meeting Responsibilities are fun, easy and an essential part of being a member of our club. The delivery of each 'Meeting Responsibility' enables our meetings to run smoothly. If you are unsure on the 'how to' of each Responsibility, there is always another member around to happily assist you.
It is each members duty to check the weekly 'Meeting Responsibilities' which are printed in your weekly eBulletin, appearing in the right hand column and actually billed as Meeting Responsibilities. Enormously helpful here is our amazing Bulletin Editor who helpfully assists members to know of their Meeting Responsibilities by sending out a reminder email to those rostered on each week.
If you are unable to take on an assigned Meeting Responsibility, all you have to do is ask a fellow member to take this on for you. Bribery and swap-dates with fellow members are perfectly acceptable. Members are invited to use Clubrunner to get email/contact details of fellow members. There is a very slick Clubrunner App which can be loaded to your cell phone - for handy and immediate contact info of fellow club members. Or, you can email Robyn to help you 'connect' with another member. Any swap on Meeting Responsibilities, please email our Co-Presidents [lesleypenny.rotary@gmail.com] and cc in Club Services [robyn.ingram@outlook.com] to advise. They rely on this weekly roster of Responsibilities to help keep meetings running beautifully.
As members are able to return to physical meetings they will be fully exploited (with full support) to take on Meeting Responsibilities with the small group currently left to do this.
