What is Project Elf?
St John’s Rotary (in conjunction with Glendowie College Interact Club) are delighted to have the Elfortunity to supervise gift-wrapping booths at Sylvia Park. Based on last year's donations, this fundraiser could potentially raise up to $21K
Project Elf Roll Out
The project is ambitious and will require a time commitment from many Elves. Please look out for the Rosters at each meeting and select a time slot of two to assist.
Elf Supervision means:
- watching the public
- assisting with difficult customers
- assisting with difficult gift wrapping
- ensuring Interact Elves have breaks
- The project rolls out over 21 days (Dec 4 – Dec 24)
- Shifts are packaged as: 2 hours; 2½ hours, 3½ hours
- We have ascertained that we can have the minimum of one Supervisor Rotary Elf across 2-4 booths.
- Ideally, we would like to have a pair of Supervisor Rotary Elves to cover the 2-4 booths, over each shift.
- Supervisor Elves can then jingle and scamper between booths to ensure the Interact Wrappers are not being hassled by anyone on the "naughty" list.
- So, numbers required for Supervisor Elves are not as high as first calculated and advertised.
Elf Robyn and/or Elf Ainie will have the Rosters available at each meeting so Club Members Elves can (please) choose one or two shifts. Alternatively, please email Elf Robyn with your desired shift (while Elf Ainie continues her visit to the North Pole) or fill in a shift or two at our meetings on the hard copy.
