Co-President Gary opened the meeting and introduced our guests, DG Allan Smith and Sue Smith, (not really guests, but Allan was visiting as the DG) - more on that later.  Also present was our AG Joyti, and Honorary Member, Andy McCarrison, who just happened to be passing through.

Aubrey provided a brief review on last weeks quiz night which was great fun and very successful.  A final financial summary is still being prepared, but it is looking very likely that the net profit will be north of $12,500.   Many thanks again to all members who participated, sponsored, or volunteered.

Peter B indicated that there will be at least one more Working Bee at Apirana Reserve before the end of the year, but no date has been set at this time.

As there were no additional Directors Reports, Co-President Garry moved on to introducing Honorary Member Andy Mc. to share highlights of his walk to date, as covered off in the Presidents pen above and just in case you were interested in seeing Andy's breakfast take a look at this photo!
Our Snap Chatterer at this meeting was to be Miles Cain, and although he did get up to speak, he got a little side tracked and proceeded to auction off a book which he found to be of great value, as did Murray H. who won the auction by handing over $150!  Thank you both for your generosity.

DG Allan and his very charming wife Sue were our guest speakers at this meeting, and prior to sharing his vision as DG, both Allan and Sue shared "their" story, starting from school age to their careers, how, where and when they met and their business and life before Rotary.  Very, very interesting and sincere thanks to you both for sharing.

Prior to ending their presentation, Sue updated the meeting on her ROMAC activities currently in place or in planning.  There are some wonderful success stories, and by the sounds of it, there will be many more to come.  We congratulate Sue and her team on the efforts to date and wish them the very best for other activities being planned.

One of ROMAC's current fundraising efforts is selling raffle tickets for a beautiful hand made quilt, as pictured.  Tickets are only $5 and if you would like to purchase please contact Sue who will be happy to provide payment details and provide you with a ticket number.
