A total of 32 members and three guest were welcomed to the meeting by President Allan.  President Allan again reminded all members in attendance of the long list of activities that are planed for the next few months - we look forward to seeing a good number of members joining in to support these events.  See below for full details.

Our very own International Youth Exchange Student, Gonzalo from Argentina, was our guest speaker at this meeting.  This was Gonzalo's first formal presentation and members present were very interested to hear of his insights into his life in the state of Cordoba and the many similarities between Argentina and New Zealand, i.e.  love of food and wine, production of some of the worlds best beef and wine, scenic beauty, and Argentinians love of football, although I think he was referring to soccer football vs rugby football, although they are not too bad at rugby either.  Gonzalo also shared with us his Rotary activities at home where he was very active as Interact President, and very active and supportive of Rotary Projects.  We look forward to hearing further from Gonzalo as the year goes by and learning more about Argentina, his family and life in Cordoba.

Gonzalo has agreed to make a contribution to each weeks Bulletin, sharing with us what he has been getting up to during his New Zealand stay.  This contribution starts this week and appears below.
