A total of 27 members turned up for this the first Combined Committee Meetings this calendar year. Below are a brief summary of discussions that took part in 3 of the Committees;
Miles Cain - Community, had a meeting with good attendance. Three projects were discussed.
1/ Planting at the CAB garden in Glen Innes
2/ Plan to fund and build a school vegetable garden at Glen Innes School next Rotary year
3/ Looking at the feasibility of running a school art competition similar to one held in Taupo called “It is not OK to litter”
Firstly we need to get the local authorities approval as we want the successful artwork to be displayed in the community.

This project has the potential of giving the club and Rotary great public exposure.
Brian Fergus - Club Services Committee Report;1. Debate with Auckland East - all organised, being led by Angus.
2. Evening speaker programme, organised out to June. We still need suggestions for breakfast speakers
3. Anzac breakfast. Being organosed by Michele M. Remuera club will be invited to attend.
4. Evening meals. Generally agreed the quality has lifted with the $30 charge for which we get 2 protein dishes. Chef, however, will be asked to provide seasonal vegetables and not just a salad
