It is hard to believe that our last Rotary meeting was on 1st October - where did September go!!!
It was a very busy month filled with meetings, guest speakers and projects.
Having 25 members packing our Christmas puddings into their boxes, assisting at the Disability Connect Transition Expo at the netball courts in Stonefields, and interviewing students from 4 Colleges for the Rotary Science & Technology programme which is in December.
Our fellowship evening at The Howick Little Theatre was a huge success. Full of fun, drama & somewhat sexy acts, wonderful acting by the cast which left us smiling all the way home.
Thanks to all those members that have been active this last month. Labour weekend is not far away so we can look forward to a rest.
Take care and I look forward to catching up again at The Huddle for our committee meeting next week.
Keep following our Bulletin to keep you up to date with future activities within the Club.
Choose your own breakfast and discuss club activities and future projects. This is an informal and friendly meeting. Well worth the effort to come along and interact with other members.

We had a great turnout for dinner last Thursday, with plenty of good food, lots of choices and, of course, great company. It was a really enjoyable evening with lively conversation and laughter around the tables.
Our guest speaker was Mahesh Muralidhar, National Party candidate for Tāmaki. Mahesh shared some interesting stories about his life in New Zealand. He has lived here since he was 14 and now lives in the Tāmaki electorate, so he has a strong connection to the local community.
Mahesh is also very involved in supporting the community. He helped raise $15,000 towards a new Community Patrol vehicle, which is now out on our streets. He also volunteers by driving one of the patrol vehicles, giving him a great insight into what is happening locally and keeping his finger firmly on the pulse of the community.
It was great to have Mahesh join us and to hear more about his background and his involvement in our local area.
Here are some photos:
Margaret wants us to donate plasma.
Muriel has been busy organising the speakers for our meetings and she does a great job!
Graham always has a smile and a good story to tell us.
Peter B is a scientist! He is passionate about what he believes in and has put a huge effort into the Apirana Reserve.
We had a fantastic turnout for coffee on Friday, with special guest appearances from Gary Key and Sir Peter Boshier.
These informal Friday coffee catchups have become a highlight of the week. We meet around 10am to enjoy a coffee, catch up with one another and discuss a wide range of topics, including the previous Rotary meeting and the latest Rotary news and what is happening in the community.
There is always plenty of laughter and good conversation, with current and past members enjoying the opportunity to reconnect.
If you’re free around 10am on a Friday, come along to Annabelles and join us. Muriel came along this week and thoroughly enjoyed herself — we hope to see her again!
